Kenrick-Glennon Nears Capacity

By Dave Luecking, St. Louis Review

In his fourth year at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary, David Halfmann has noticed a subtle difference in the first few weeks of the academic year. There are more seminarians than before.

Parents’ Perspective

By Norm and Linda Ritter, Parents of Tony Ritter, Theology III – St. Louis

Tony’s seminary journey started when he was in 4th grade by answering that he wanted to become a priest when he grew up.  He was a considerate and caring boy and as his parents, we thought that the priesthood might be a fit. We encouraged him, however, to be whoever God wanted him to be.  Tony attended several Kenrick Glennon Days and Come & See weekends at the seminary.  There, he had a great time and developed relationships with some of the seminarians – and a deeper relationship with Jesus.  At home, we would get into religious discussions as a family. Whenever there were questions that couldn’t be answered, Tony would text Fr. Ryan Weber, a seminarian at the time, and would receive prompt, thoughtful answers.

Welcome, Bishop Robert Hermann

Kenrick-Glennon Seminary is pleased to welcome Bishop Robert J. Hermann, Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of St. Louis, to the faculty as a new in-house spiritual director. In a recent announcement to seminarians, faculty, and staff, Fr. James Mason, President-Rector, expressed gratitude for Bishop Hermann’s “yes” to join the seminary community, stating:  “He brings to our house years of pastoral and spiritual experience which will benefit all.”

Welcome home, Bishop Hermann!
