Enjoy the beauty of the seminary’s 44 acre campus grounds on Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati Nature Trail. The 1.8 mile trail forms a “U” shape around the seminary buildings, surrounded by acres of restored prairie grasses and wildflowers.
The gates at Glennon Drive are open:
7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday-Friday
7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Holidays
During the Summer, gates are open until 4:00 p.m. M-F.
Features along the trail include a grotto to the Blessed Virgin Mary, access to the seminary’s outdoor Stations of the Cross, a tribute to St. Pope John Paul II and a grotto to St. Joseph.

ABOUT BL. PIER GIORGIO FRASSATI
Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati (1901 – 1925) was born to a wealthy and politically influential family in Turin, Italy. He was dedicated to social justice issues and joined several charitable organizations to better aid the poor and less fortunate in his hometown. He put his own pious beliefs into practice to cater to their needs and was best known for his devotion and amiable character.
Bl. Pier was an avid mountaineer who often climbed with his friends. He was an able swimmer and athlete best known for engaging in such social activities with a range of like-minded friends.
In 1990, Pope John Paul II beatified Bl. Pier, calling him the “Man of the Eight Beatitudes.”
