Fr. Paul Hoesing Receives the Lumen Vitae Medal

The Lumen Vitae Medal, Latin for “Light of Life” is the University of Mary’s highest honor, and they bestow it upon a champion of Catholic education who brings others closer to Christ and his Church. Past recipients of the medal include Bishop Robert Barron, George Weigel, Scott Hahn, and Dr. Gianna Emanuela Molla. In introducing Fr. Hoesing as the recipient of the medal, Msgr. Shea said, “Every day, Fr. Paul Hoesing gets up in the morning and he prays, then he spends the energies of his heart in the work of the formation of our future priests. He does this work joyfully, pushing back against any modicum of self-pity or discouragement, because he knows the importance of this work.” Fr. Hoesing delivered the keynote address, offering his expertise from 20+ years of vocational accompaniment. Check out his address below!
