Thank you for your support of our seminarians through your generous donation to the Holy Land Pilgrimage. Unfortunately, unrest in the Holy Land has necessitated a pivot to the pilgrimage which has traditionally taken place in the Holy Land. As we pray for peace, we are sending the Class of 2025 to Greece and Rome on an Apostolic Pilgrimage in the Footsteps of Sts. Peter and Paul.
Fr. Samson will integrate theology, pilgrimage, and archaeology as the men will walk in the footsteps of St. Paul in Greece and of St. Peter in Rome. Fr. Paul Hoesing, President-Rector, will join Fr. Samson and the deacons on the second half of the pilgrimage to guide them through the Eternal City.
Throughout their spiritual journey, Fr. Samson and Fr. Hoesing will emphasize Apostolic preaching and encourage the deacons grow in the love of their priesthood and identity as future ministers to their parish families. This pilgrimage will serve as a capstone course for the seminarians’ training in evangelization.
We hope that you will be generous in underwriting the Footsteps of Sts. Peter and Paul Pilgrimage. Your donation will help provide airfare, hotel accommodations, meals, tickets to numerous pilgrimage sites, and more.
How Can I Help?
- Msgr. Williams Lyons Fund: A bequest from a beloved alumnus established a spiritual formation retreat fund as a reserve if sufficient funds for the pilgrimage are not received each year. If the pilgrimage is fully funded, the Lyons Fund may be used to support other retreats and formation programs. If you wish to leave a legacy like Msgr. Lyons, please consider making a planned gift.
- Convivium: Guests at the annual Convivium Dinner Auction have the opportunity to donate to the Holy Land Experience during the Fund-A-Need.
- Sponsorships: Friends of the Seminary are invited to prayerfully consider financially sponsoring the seminarians’ trip to the Holy Land with a gift online or a check by mail:
