Holy Land Retreat & Pilgrimage

Each January, our seminarians in their final year of formation and education encounter Christ in a new way. While walking in the footsteps of Jesus during the annual Holy Land Retreat and Pilgrimage, Scripture comes alive for the seminarian and he can never read or pray the same again. His everyday prayer and everyday preaching are more fruitful as he serves the people as a future parish priest. Click here to read more about the retreat participants, itinerary, and trip details.

New Endowment Benefits Seminary

Archbishop Carlson visited the offices of the Roman Catholic Foundation on December 4th to ring the Celebration Bell on the occasion of the establishment of the Archbishop Robert J. Carlson Endowment Fund.  The Foundation rings the Bell each time a new fund is established.

The Archbishop Robert J. Carlson Endowment Fund was recently established with a gift from an anonymous donor.  The fund will provide operating support to Kenrick-Glennon-Seminary and the Respect Life Apostolate of the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Pipe Organ in the Chapel of St. Joseph

On November 11, 2015, Archbishop Robert J. Carlson formally dedicated the new pipe organ in the Chapel of St. Joseph. The following evening, 300+ friends of the seminary gathered for a free debut concert. Dr. Horst Buchholz, the featured organist, was joined by soloists Jeff and Wendy Wisniewski and the Kenrick-Glennon Seminary Choir.

The organ was built by A.E. Schlueter Pipe Organ Company in Lithonia, GA. It has three manuals, 39 ranks and 2,156 pipes with a terraced console. Our organ is featured in the December 2015 issue of “The American Organist,” the magazine for the American Guild of Organists. The specifications for our new organ can be found below:
