Pastoral Formation

Features of the Discipleship Stage

Discipleship I Apostolates

Discipleship I seminarians rotate through modules of apostolic service, designed to help them acquire a sense for various demographics in the Church, and to develop the basic skills needed to engage these populations in later stages of formation. The survey of ministerial demographics complements the methodology of the Parish Visit Program, described above.

Divided into two groups, seminarians participate in apostolates twice a month, in accordance with the schedule issued by the Director of Pastoral Education, Evangelization, and Apostolic Service, and communicated by the Apostolate Leader.

Discipleship II Apostolates

Receiving some training in the principles of evangelization from the Archdiocesan Office of Evangelization and Discipleship, seminarians in Discipleship II participate in parish small groups throughout the year, as organized by the Director of Pastoral Education, Evangelization, and Apostolic Service, and communicated by the Apostolate Leader.
